Meet the Emcee – Zane Banyan
This multifaceted, multilingual performer started her career at the age of six in stage productions. Completing a B.A. with Honours in Drama; Zane built a successful career in Toronto as a working actor, singer, model, comedian and host, while appearing on national television with performances on CP24, CTV, The Marilyn Denis Show, and CBC Sports.
From playing sold out shows singing backup for Foreigner, and at Carnegie Hall with cast members of Pitch Perfect, to fronting rock bands in front of crowds at all of the city’s most iconic venues, Zane is a talent in high demand. She’s had the honour of singing the national anthems twice for Toronto’s professional teams and entertaining thousands at Air Canada Centre.
Her talents don’t stop at music and stage; Zane’s captivating looks have seen her grace the pages of fashion magazines and walk the runways for the likes of Leslie Hampton and Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show.
Her natural ability to entertain people and put them at ease has made her quick on her feet in the improv and comedy world scoring her sketch credits, original stand-up shows and feature roles on popular podcasts. Zane’s hosting catalogue ranges from the most intimate venues to wildly raucous trivia nights.
